Recovery Explorer RAID is a software solution primarily meant to handle data loss from various RAID-based devices, like NAS, but also perfectly fits for regular data recovery operations. The application recognizes and immediately reconstructs various RAID configurations − Standard RAID levels and JBOD as well as Nested and custom RAID setups. Spanned volumes, like mdadm, LVM, Apple Software RAID, Windows dynamic disks and Storage Spaces, are also detected and instantly assembled by the program. In addition to automated RAID construction, the software offers embedded tools for building up user-defined RAID configurations and analyzing the context of disks in the hexadecimal mode.
The software can access and recover lost data from the file systems of Microsoft Windows (FAT/FAT32/ExFAT/NTFS), macOS (APFS, HFS+) and Linux (Ext2/Ext3/Ext4, UFS/UFS2, XFS, Reiser, JFS, Btrfs). Moreover, data can be recovered from Apple’s Time Machine backups with the support of file links. The software can also work with virtual disks, including ones of VMware, Hyper-V, QEMU, XEN, VirtualBox, and disk images (simple, Apple *DMG, R-Studio *RDR files).
The recovery procedure is accompanied by helpful recommendations and includes optional storage scan, automatic or manual storage analysis, choosing the files for recovery and the recovery process itself. Files to be recovered can be previewed right away and sorted by various criteria. The software has several licensing options depending on the purpose of use: from the free Trial License with the limitations on the size of files to be saved to the Personal, Corporate and Commercial licenses.
